1 - Arrival – El Alto Airport (4100m/13.451ft) – La Paz (3663m/12.018ft)
We pick you up at the El Alto airport, the highest commercial airport in the world, and depending on your time of arrival there might be time for a tour of the city and dinner after you get installed at the hotel. Hotel. Distance: 14km/9mi. Transport: 00h30

2- La Paz – Tahua (3707m/12.162ft)
We have a long day ahead of us. After breakfast we head towards the small village Tahua which lies in the north of the Salar de Uyuni. First we reach the small picturesque village Sabaya, from where we cross the Salar de Coïpasa (also known as the mirror of the earth) and after passing the checkpoint at the small garrison village Llica we enter the Uyuni salt flat. Mid-afternoon we reach Tahua from where we have a wonderful view of the magnificent salt flat – the biggest in the world and depending on our time of arrival we can visit the Coquësa mummies or go for a walk in and around Tahua. 3 - Tahua – Uyuni (3665m/12.024ft)
We spend the morning on the salt flat. The Salar de Uyuni is the biggest salt flat in the world with acreage of 10582km²/4,085 square miles and it contains a reserve of 9 million tonne of Lithium and other minerals. We visit the small salt exploitation cooperation of Colchani where salt is still extracted and processed without machines and afterwards we head towards the “island” Incahuasi, also known as the fisherman’s island. This geological formation which is a leftover of petrified limestone offers a multiple of Tiwanakota and Inca archaeological sites. From the highest point on the island we have an amazing 360° view of the Salar de Uyuni. Here we have lunch and relax before leaving the Salar to reach Uyuni. Before we get installed at the hotel we make a detour to visit the locomotive cemetery, a vestige of the more prosperous times in Bolivia, and the evening is free. Hotel. Distance: 170km/105mi. 4 - Uyuni – Potosi (4000m/13.123ft)
On our 6 hour trip from Uyuni to Potosi we cross the impressive volcanic plateau Los Frailes a vast 8.500km2/3.281mi2 ignimbrite plateau on the western edge of the Eastern Cordillera. Potosi is at once a fascinating and sad place where thousands of slaves lost their lives to the mines under the spanish exploitation. The spanish still have a saying "vale un Potosi" meaning "it’s worth a Potosi" for something very valuable. Hotel. Distance: 219km/136mi. Transport: 5h00. Visit: 1h30. B/L

5 - Potosi – Sucre (2790m/9.153ft)
In the XVIth and XVIIth century Potosi was the biggest town in the world taking into consideration the miner population, and is still the 2nd most beautiful town after Sucre. After breakfast we visit the mines of the Cerro Rico (Rich Mountain) and we meet again after lunch to visit the famous Casa de la Moneda and later we leave for Sucre the constitusional capital of Bolivia. 6 - Sucre - La Paz - Copacabana (3949m/12.956ft) - La Paz
Early in the morning we take the plane from Sucre to La Paz. A car picks us up from the airport and takes us to Copacabana and we go directly to the port where a private boat is waiting to take us to the Isla del Sol. The boat drops us of in the north of the island and we hike down to the south to the Funte del Inka and the famous Inca stone staircase. We go back to Copacabana where we visit the Calvaire and we return to La Paz in the evening. Hotel. Distance: 322km/200mi. Transport: 6h. B/L

7 - La Paz Departure
Transfer from your hotel to the airport. It is recommended to be at the airport 3h00 before departure for international flights. End of our services.
